Seasoned arts pro named director of development

Miami Theater Center, which celebrates its 10th Anniversary this spring, has named Megan Cottle as its new Director of Development. As part of MTC’s senior management team, Ms. Cottle is responsible for overseeing fundraising, sponsorship, and special events.

Ms. Cottle has led a stellar career providing fundraising efforts and executive level management to cultural and educational organizations. She comes to MTC from her most recent role as Executive Director of The Alabama Ballet where she exceeded total giving goals by 15 to 35 percent while overseeing multi-million dollar annual fund campaigns, planned giving efforts, corporate sponsorships, and multiple special events. She has also successfully secured grant support from regional and national funders including ASCAP, the National Endowment for the Arts, the US Department of Education, and South Arts. Prior to her role at The Alabama Ballet, she served as Associate Development Director at the Alabama Symphony Orchestra. Ms. Cottle is a proud member of the Public Policy Research Council, National Grant Writers Association and American Fundraising Professionals.

“Miami Theater Center’s senior management team and board of directors will collaborate with Ms. Cottle and draw upon her expertise as a successful and well-respected fundraising executive,” said Stephanie Ansin, MTC’s founder and artistic director. “We are thrilled to have Megan on our team and look forward to her bringing her passion and talents to our community as we anticipate MTC’s upcoming 10th Anniversary this spring.”
