Miami Children’s Museum Gala

Luxury Brand Ligne Roset Becomes Sponsor

In a fabulous philanthropic gesture that further solidifies Ligne Roset as a leading corporate force in Miami, the luxury furniture manufacturer will participate as a sponsor of the Miami Children’s Museum’s (MCM) annual Be A Kid Again 2011 Gala on April 16th. This year’s theme: “It’s Never Too Late to Have a Happy Childhood.”

As a part of the sponsorship, Ligne Roset will offer free delivery on purchases for all clients who donate a minimum of $50 to MCM. The offer will continue through the month of March.

Known for its artful collaborations with both established and up-and-coming talents in contemporary design, Ligne Roset offers consumers an entire lifestyle in which to live both boldly and beautifully via its furniture collections and complimentary decorative accessories, lighting, rugs, textiles and occasional items.

“We’re very excited about our partnership with the Miami Children’s Museum,” said Dahlia Latif, GM of Ligne Roset Miami. “Community involvement is an important initiative of Ligne Roset and arts education for children is especially important when you consider the economic crisis and the cuts to arts education budgets. Our location in Miami’s Design District makes arts and culture a part of our daily lives and we understand that a love for arts begins at facilities like the Miami Children’s Museum. It’s an honor to be associated with this fine group.”

Hosted by gala chairpersons Gisela and Diego Lowenstein and MCM board president, Jeff Berkowitz, the Museum invites guests to its home at 980 MacArthur Causeway on Watson Island to enjoy a celebrated evening of culinary delights and spirits amidst the museum’s galleries followed by a one of a kind performance by the legendary Village People. Through the generosity of Moet Chandon, major benefactors will celebrate in the Moet Chandon VIP Lounge, where magnums of champagne will be available at each table.

“MCM has always strived to provide continuous programming of the best fun and educational experiences for children and families throughout South Florida in the hope that everyone we touch will come away richer and happier for the experience,” said Berkowitz. “We are looking forward to celebrating another year at MCM filled with exciting and fun exhibits and activities that all our friends in the South Florida community can enjoy.”

Proceeds from the gala benefit the Museum’s educational programming. Tickets are $500.00 per person or tables of 10 for $5,000.00. Special benefactor seating is $1,000 per person or tables of 10 for $10,000. Sponsorship opportunities are also available.
