Miami City Ballet’s board members, supporters, and dancers gathered together recently at The Betsy hotel on South Beach to welcome back the dancers, who have just returned to the studios after summer break to rehearse ballets for the upcoming season. The party included cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, lively conversation, and officially kicked off the season, which will run October through April in the tri-county area.
Those in attendance included Miami City Ballet’s Founding Artistic Director Edward Villella and his wife, MCB School Director Linda Villella; MCB’s new President of the Board of Trustees Ana Codina Barlick with her husband Rob Barlick; and Board Members: Toby Lerner Ansin, Marvin Ross Friedman, Rosalind Richter, Meike Miniaci, Lisa Berg and Alex Tachmes. Representing The Betsy were Robert Todak, General Manager and Julie Burstein, Director of Events and Special Projects.
Sponsors of the event included: Wild Rock wine from New Zealand and The Betsy hotel. Setting a new benchmark in comfortable luxury, by fostering programs that believe in the power of community, The Betsy’s leadership team is devoted to cultivating the sights and sounds of the arts, music and literature.
