Miami Dolphins Foundation Raises $600,000+
The Miami Dolphins Foundation hosted Fins Weekend, its largest annual event featuring current players, alumni and cheerleaders for a three-day extravaganza of parties, golf and fishing. The event raised more than $600,000 which will support signature education, health, youth athletic programs and volunteer activities throughout Florida. The festivities kicked off with a Celebrity Draw Party, presented by Sun Life Financial, in advance of the golf tournament and awards luncheon that was held the following day at Turnberry Isle Miami. Later that evening, the popular Hook & Tackle Captain’s Party took place at the Miami Beach Marina. Bright and early the next morning amateur and professional anglers took off for the Fishing Tournament, presented by Alterna Financial. After the weigh-in, everyone gathered for the HMY/Contender Awards Ceremony where the crew of O-Sea-D, who turned in 195.4 pounds of fish, won the trophy and a trip for four on the team charter to a regular season Dolphins away game.
