Mlb Heroes Work With Local Youth At Marlins Park
Local youth had the opportunity to play with big league heroes at the Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association (MLBPAA) Legends for Youth baseball clinic series recently. The free clinic featured former MLB players who taught baseball skills, drills and life lessons. Players attending included Florida Marlins teammates and 1997 World Series champions Antonio Alfonseca and Alex Arias, along with Hector Almonte, Bill Hurst, Terry McGriff, Rusty Meachum and Brad Pennington. These seven players combine for 44 seasons, 1,842 games, 62 wins and 142 saves in Major League Baseball.
