MOCA Mystery Dates 2012 Kick-Off

The excitement for the Museum of Contemporary Art’s Mystery Dates 2012 fundraiser gathered momentum when the Shakers, the museum’s young international members group held a soiree at the Juicy Couture boutique at 1111 Lincoln Road. While MOCA’s Mystery Dates fundraiser is still a few months away (Saturday, November 17th), buzz about the event is building. Mystery Dates is a series of glamorous dinner parties held concurrently at the homes of private art collectors and designers around Miami. The mystery is that guests learn only that evening which dinner they will attend.

The Juicy Couture party, hosted by MOCA Shakers Erin Newberg, Meredith Becker, Valerie Graves, Sarah Arison, and Julia Ford-Carther, was attended by over 400 arts-minded patrons. The hosts were dressed in Juicy Couture’s fall/winter collection, which hits stores this week and includes beautifully cut dresses, printed silk pants and subtly detailed blazers. DJ Irie provided music and Svedka Vodka served fresh fruity cocktails while Lyon & Lyon passed hors d’oeuvres. Among those seen in the packed crowd were MOCA Executive Director and Chief Curator Bonnie Clearwater chatting with sunglass designers Christian Roth and Eric Domege, and Mystery Dates hosts Dale and Richard Newberg, Alan Roth, Todd Goldenfarb and Buzzy Sklar.
