Olympia Theater Day – Celebrating 90 Years!
Olympia Theater celebrated 90 years in Downtown Miami with a film and after-party. Guests joined Dick Tracy, Breathless Mahoney, Tess Trueheart, Big Boy, Mumbles and “the Kid” for a festive evening of costumes, cocktails and an after-film, onstage dance party with no prohibition. The theater opened in February 1926, and 90 years later the Mayor and City Commission proclaimed February 27, 2016, as “Olympia Theater Day.”
