Sed En La Calle Del Agua
Miami-Dade County Auditorium and ARCA Images presents the World Premiere Written and Directed by Pulitzer Prize-Winning Playwright Nilo Cruz
ARCA Images and Miami-Dade County Auditorium present the spectacular World Premiere of a newly commissioned theatre piece “Sed en la Calle del Agua” by Pulitzer Prize-winning Cuban American playwright Nilo Cruz.
Set in a hospital, the painter, the main character, has fallen into a state of depression after losing her daughter to an illness and not having enough money to pay for the fuel needed to survive the New Jersey winter. The psychiatrist in charge of the case realizes that art is vital in this artist’s life and may be the only thing that can save her from her fatal state. Will art be able to put this painter’s life back on track? This is the theme of the play: art as a tool for salvation.
The performance is presented in Spanish with simultaneous audio translation in English.
