Galaxies in Time Lapse
In this fantastic video piece produced by Mark Diamond with music by Mel Morley, the Miami Art Museum’s installation team assembles “Galaxies Forming along Filaments, Like Droplets along the Strands of a Spiders Web” by Tomás Saraceno. The installation is part of “BETWEEN HERE AND THERE: Modern and Contemporary Art from the Permanent Collection,” the museum’s first, long-term installation of the Permanent Collection, now on view.
Girls’ Night Out at Fisher Island
Girl Scouts Council of Tropical Florida hosted its 7th Annual Girls’ Night Out at Fisher Island, organized by the Girl Scout Women’s Advisory Group co-chaired by Veranda Dickens, Sharon King and Marcia Dunn, all residents of Fisher Island. The evening began with cocktails and a silent auction at the Vanderbilt Mansion, followed by private dinners sponsored by Gala Cohen, June Kimmel, Sharon King, Harriet Lassin and Barbara Zweig.
