There was some great action in Miami this week that transcended multiple social genres. The Vizcayan kickoff luncheon and fashion show at Neiman Marcus had many fancy ladies attendance. The Spa at ICON brought men like Clayton Clavette, Arin Maercks, Morten Aagaard, Stephen Brunell, Jeff Berkowitz, Oscar Seikaly, Dan Carlo, and Kenneth Smuts together for Men’s Night Out. ESPA spa at Acqualina in Sunny Isles Beach had a great turnout as well for their Godiva chocolate event. Stephanie and Jules Trump were in attendance. Lamborghini energy drink was downtown with a sexy event at Club 50 for their US launch. On the arts front, the Playground Theatre had a launch event for their annual Tea at the Ritz fundraiser. SOCIAL Manny: Episode 7
The Globetrotters were at Miami Children’s Museum, while the Coconut Grove Art Festival brought out an eclectic Miami crowd including our new mayor, Tomas Regalado. The Downtown Development Authority must have been beaming as the New World Symphony had a Valentine’s Day performance at the Gusman followed by its gala at the DuPont. The glamorous evening was hosted by film director David Frankel. Voices for Children was also downtown. Their annual gala was on Brickell Key at the Mandarin Oriental.

Chodorow, Schrager, Feldenkreis, Touzet, Dick, Bernstein, De Molina, Ray, Martorano – SOCIAL Manny shot the players at this year’s South Beach Wine & Food Festival.

Manny Hernandez captured a busy week in the Miami social scene in this latest edition of Social Manny.

Manny Hernandez has been covering Miami’s social, lifestyle and art scenes for more than 30 years. Manny was born and raised in Miami’s Wynwood neighborhood and is a proud alumnus of Miami-Dade College and Florida International University. His contributions are showcased weekly in The Miami Herald, Ocean Drive and Indulge magazines and his popular and much anticipated photo gallery, SOCIAL Manny, on SocialMiami.com. His images have also appeared in countless publications, including: Paper Magazine, Vanity Fair, People, Vogue and Rolling Stone.
In 2018, Manny was honored as one of the 12 Good Men by the Ronald McDonald House Charities and co-produced along with Broadway producer Richard Jay-Alexander, an exhibit in honor of famed press agent Charlie Cinnamon at the FIU Jewish Museum.
Manny recently authored his first book, CANDIDS Miami (Wynwood Books).
