SocialSnapshot: Suzy Buckley Woodward

The philanthropist and founder of SHAPOH Fancy Hats & Fascinators speaks to us in her own words.

The 2024 Pegasus World Cup Presented by Baccarat is returning, this year headlined by Grammy award-winning producer, DJ, and songwriter Calvin Harris. In anticipation of the event, Suzy Buckley Woodward — who has spent 30 years in Miami and founded SHAPOH.com Fancy Hats & Fascinators — produced an annual fashion show with Neiman Marcus Bal Harbour, where the latest runway looks are paired with her company’s headpieces. SHAPOH.com is a one-stop online shop for style-savvy women looking for high-end headpieces created by the world’s foremost milliners and talented up-and-coming designers and the pieces in the show are reflective of the modern, youthful style synonymous with one of the most fabulous, fashion-forward races in the United States.

Prior to launching SHAPOH, she worked in media as a writer, editor and television host, for outlets ranging from The New York Times, Town & Country and the New York Post, to Ocean Drive Magazine, E! Entertainment and NBC-6. Today, she’s very involved in the philanthropic community–most notably as co-founder and co-chair of Women of Tomorrow’s Rosé Day fundraiser, a sponsor of the Fisher Island Day School gala and founder of the Fisher Island Hat Luncheon, which raises funds for teacher education and professional growth at Fisher Island Day School. She has also served as a co-chair of Perez Art Museum Miami’s JAMM @ PAMM and is a committee member of Vizcaya Museum & Gardens’ annual hat luncheon. Buckley Woodward is also a “Miracle Maker” for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Miami and a patron of the Central Park Conservancy in NYC.
