Stars Come Out for Buika
The Rhythm Foundation, with the support of TotalBank, presented a spectacular concert with Spanish singer Buika at the historic Gusman Center in Downtown Miami. Born to African parents and raised in Mallorca, Buika has become the hottest new singer to emerge from Spain in recent years. Her powerful and passionate voice seemed to shake the walls of the theater and prompted several standing ovations from the captivated audience. Pianist Ivan “Melon” Lewis accompanied Buika with his elegant and also electrifying performance. Gloria and Emilio Estefan, Alejandro Sanz, and Nelly Furtado were among the stars that came to see the Latin Grammy nominated singer.
