Taste of the Nation Miami
Ritz Carlton, Key Biscayne
More than 35 of Miami’s most celebrated chefs gathered once again at the Ritz Carlton, Key Biscayne to wow local food lovers at the annual Share Our Strength’s Taste of the Nation Miami, hosted by Chef Allen of Chef Allen’s restaurant, who has spearheaded the Miami event for 20 years. One hundred percent of the ticket proceeds benefited Daily Bread Food Bank, Florida Impact and North Florida Educational Development Corporation, three organizations dedicated to fighting childhood hunger in Florida. This year’s Taste of the Nation featured the first-ever eco-friendly theme, incorporating biodegradable plates and utensils, eco-shaped bottled water that uses 30 percent less plastic, and “eco-tables” throughout the room for recycling and complimentary parking for hybrid cars. In addition, several dishes featured organic ingredients, like the Oregonzola Burger presented by Dune Oceanfront Burger Lounge, which was topped with organic gorgonzola cheese.
