Forbes magazine owners’ Kip Forbes & Moira Forbes Mumma co-hosted a charity event in Palm Beach with Tom Quick, Hilary & Wilbur Ross, Allison & Chip Brady, and David Park to raise funds for The Community Coalition, which helps the homeless and disabled. Guests included philanthropists Craig & Michele Millard, Diane. N. Weiss, Dan & Tina Carlo, Frances Hayward, and Tim Johnson & Fernando Wong.
The event, co-sponsored by Florida Dental Benefits, Inc., which provides affordable dental care benefits to businesses in Florida, included a live auction for a fabulous stay at the exquisite Forbes-owned Chateau de Balleroy in Normandy, which sold for $9,000.
Miami girl brings her talents back home
Born and raised in Miami, Lissette Gonzalez is a Cuban American beauty who is back home in South Florida following a career that has taken her throughout the United States. Now Lissette wakes up dark and early at 3:00 am so that viewers can see her on WFOR-TV CBS4 every weekday and catch her award-winning weather forecasts. A self-made woman, Lissette’s career has been diverse. While at the University of Miami, she stumbled upon the Miss University of Miami Scholarship pageant and figured it would be a great opportunity to fund her education and open doors in the television and entertainment industry.
Condo Cocktails at Solea
The Continental Concierge Group and Solea Restaurant at the W Hotel, hosted a private cocktail affair in honor of the residents of some of the most exclusive condominiums on South Beach. Homeowners and guests of Il Villaggio, Icon, Apogee, Murano Grande, Murano at Portofino, Continuum North & South and 1500 Ocean Drive condominiums gathered to enjoy cocktails and hors d’oeuvres as they mingled with neighbors and friends.
