Social Stars Throw Party for SocialMiami Editor
Philanthropist Swanee DiMare and Appellate Judge Bronwyn Miller together threw a birthday bash for SocialMiami editor Brett Graff. On a gorgeous Miami Sunday, some of the city’s most savvy and stylish ladies came out to The Deck at Island Gardens for brunch on the water, sipping rosé and champagne while enjoying the breathtaking views of yachts docked in Biscayne Bay – all while the restaurants DJ pumped out sophisticated, summer sounds. After a fair amount of toasting and talking, the ladies hit the buffet for the raw bar of shrimp and oysters, sushi rolls, paella, meats, a board of fresh breads and artisanal cheeses, a salad selection including bowls grains, crisp vegetables and crunchy nuts, along with grilled meats and fish. The crowd coming out to celebrate included Lana Bernstein, Ana VeigaMilton, Tracy Wilson Mourning, Judge Vivianne del Rio, Krista Rosenberg, Emily Zubi, Jessica Cristobal, Linda Lynn Levy, Jennifer Valoppi, Ariel Penzer Milgroom, Laurie Jennings, Erin Newberg, Elizabeth Resnick, Daniele Berland, Dana Rhoden Baran, Candise Shanbron, Christina Termine, Claudia Potamkin, Elysze Held, Dominique Lallemand and more.
The Lucy Project
The Lucy Project hosted its first annual fundraiser, “Once Upon a Time,” a Family Fashion Show and Brunch at Fleming’s Brickell. This family-friendly event offered a unique experience; venue was transformed to a garden of flowers, performances by Florida Grand Opera singers, magician, storyteller for our young guests and a fashion runway. A very meaningful cause which expands the possibilities for all children in Miami. raising much needed awareness and funds for literacy initiatives. More than 47 percent of students read below grade level in Miami-Dade public schools, according to MDCPS.
Prime Institute Miami
Prime Institute Miami – a medical center in Coral Gables dedicated to weight management and sexual health – had its ribbon-cutting ceremony for its new medical office. Co-founded by Dr. Michelle Pearlman, a board-certified gastroenterologist and obesity medicine specialist and Dr. Amy Pearlman, a board-certified urologist specializing in male sexual and hormonal health, the facility is one of the few practices offering cutting-edge technology for assessing muscle mass and cardo metabolic health. At the opening: Mayor Vince Lago, Heisman Trophy-winner Desmond Howard, PBS correspondent Maryon Stewart and stylist Elysze Held.
