The House of Gucci Celebrates Art Week
By Leigh Pollack
Showcasing their newly installed Gucci Holiday Season Snowglobe, The House of Gucci celebrated Art Week and winter in Miami last night as only Gucci can: with glitterati, paparazzi, and fabulous fashion. Gucci’s Design District plaza was transformed into an Italian-themed winter wonderland, aided by the weather gods dropping Miami’s temperatures into the 40s.
Miami’s best dressed mingled with out-of-town influencers and socialites visiting for Art Basel. DJ Carlita’s killer set had the A-list crowd dancing and bopping in place. Le Basque Catering’s carefully curated Italian small bites included canapés like tomato confit and arancini balls, fresh homemade pizzas and focaccia, and saffron risotto with zucchini, with gelato for dessert. In lieu of a full bar, guests chose from 7 classic Italian-themed cocktails and Jacquesson Champagne, specially ordered for the event.
