The 21st Annual Twelve Good Men Luncheon will recognize men in the community for their philanthropic work with charities and non-profit organizations. The luncheon brings together current and past honorees and many other friends and supporter of the Ronald McDonald House Charities of South Florida. The event will begin with a reception and silent auction at 11:30am and will continue with the luncheon and award ceremony in the Treetop Ballroom at Jungle Island. Admission tickets will be available online in mid January 2014 at www.rmhcsouthflorida.org. Proceeds benefit the children and families staying at the Ronald McDonald House of Miami and Fort Lauderdale.

The Twelve Good Men Luncheon is the premier fundraiser to benefit The Ronald McDonald House Charities of South Florida. The purpose of the event is to honor leading men with a history of outstanding community involvement; civic service; and involvement in one or more of South Florida’s charity organizations. Last year more than 300 people attended the luncheon and more than $66,000.00 was raised to help fund the annual operation budget of “The House that Love Built®.”

Since 1981, Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) of South Florida has been dedicated to helping local children live happier, healthier and more productive lives by supporting health care and medical research programs, education and the arts, and civic and social programs. Its cornerstone program, the Ronald McDonald House®, provides a “home away from home” for families with ill children receiving treatment at nearby pediatric medical facilities in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties. RMHC of South Florida also awards grants to local not-for-profit organizations serving children through a portion of donations from McDonald’s customers and Global Ronald McDonald House Charities matching grants.
