British-based beverage titan Diageo held a Miami-style soiree this summer, a cruise line bartender competition in which the contestants prepared a selection of traditional and cutting- edge cocktails.
At the Diageo 396 bar – tucked away in the company’s Coral Gables location – three bartenders crafted aperitif and after-dinner cocktails featuring the company’s standout spirits including Bullet Bourbon and Tangueray Gin.
Shanea Savours: Le Zoo by Stephen Starr
Le Zoo restaurant by Stephen Starr is a French Brasserie with Mediterranean style dishes, with about 200 seats including indoors and outside patio. They offer classic bistro fare, such as, good, crusty French bread, French onion soup, steak tartare, steak and frites, chicken paillard, moules and frites, warm shrimp salad, cheese plates, and a good selection of charcuterie. There is also a nice seafood selection, such as crab, lobster, shrimps, oysters and stone crabs.
Pipeline Doral Inaugural Start-Up Series
Pipeline Doral hosted the inaugural “Start Up Series”. The series, organized by RightSyde Media, is meant to help promote local business growth and raise Miami’s profile as an incubator for talent. At the event, five start-ups pitched their business ideas to a panel of seasoned judges and a live audience of 160+.

Aventura Mall in Miami keeps getting better and better. Now a new shop has opened on the lower level called Sugarfina. This is Florida’s first Sugarfina shop which now joins their 16 other retail locations. Sugarfina is a luxury candy boutique for grown-ups, featuring 150 plus gourmet sweets from small artisan candy makers from around the world. It was named the best candy shop by Food and Wine.
