Frost Science Summer Camp
June 18 – August 10 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday – Friday
Dissecting squid, launching rockets and designing robots — it’s all in a day’s work during Summer Camp at the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science. Located in Downtown Miami’s Museum Park, the camp welcomes students entering grades K through 8th. Young curiosity-seekers will explore riveting, real-world subjects alongside inspiring educators and scientists who share their passion for science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). Campers will get hands-on with different week-long camps themed around the amazing science featured at the museum. They’ll design a plane, meet the animals in the Aquarium, explore the universe in the state-of-the-art Frost Planetarium, learn about the amazing human body and more. Weekly cost is $350 for non-members and $295 for Frost Science members. Before and after-care available for an additional fee. Note: No camp from July 2 – 6.

The Children’s Voice Chorus Camp
July 16 to 27, Monday – Friday, full or half day options
Have a Child Who Loves to Sing? Here’s a camp for you. The Children’s Voice Chorus is taking Summer Camp applications for boys and girls entering grades K through 9. A fun-filled two weeks await your campers as they sing, dance, engage in team-building activities and showcase their talents. From music theory to drumming to writing songs, this multi-faceted camp is ideal for your budding singer! Camp day runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Full day camp fee is $350 per week; half day is $200 (lunch not included). Before or after care is also available for $50/week. Registration available online.

2018 Summer Teen Film Camp
June 18 – July 27, Monday – Friday, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Florida Film Institute offers a summer partnership with the Coral Gables Cinemateque where 25 high school students, ages 13 to 18, will attend summer workshops. Students will focus on essential and practical aspects of commercial motion picture production, including script preparation, cinematography, lighting, sound recording, directing, acting and music. The program will feature instruction by South Florida Film Industry professionals. The total camp fee for six weeks is $695 plus a $50 non-refundable registration fee. 12th Annual Art Camp
Starting June 11 in Palmetto Bay and July 9 in Wynwood
Celebrating 12 years of providing summertime art education, the Art Academy welcomes children aged 6 to 12 to attend week-long camps offered in two convenient locations. Campers enjoy drawing, painting in acrylic and oil, working with clay, glass mosiac and lots more. Full day camp, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., costs $340 per week; and half-day camp, 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., is $180. Sign up for one week or more. All art supplies are included. Modeling Camp

There’s way more to modeling than striking a pose—and what better way to learn it than at Modeling Camp this summer! Girls ages 11 to 17 will be introduced to the world of modeling and fashion by participating in workshops, photo shoots and daily challenges with top industry professionals. Dance and Music Summer Camp

Center Stage Dance Academy’s Dance and Music Summer Camp encourages new campers, aged 4 and up, as well as existing students, to socialize, play and learn in a friendly environment. The program is geared toward improving the campers’ dance and music skills and also offers a great opportunity for those who wish to improve their technique or try out for the CSMDA Competition Team. Activities include classes in dance, music, acting and technique, field trips, drawing, group games, photo shoot, pony ride and Summer Recital. Camp Broadway Miami

The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts hosts the 4th year of Camp Broadway Miami in partnership with Camp Broadway, an industry leader in theater arts camps, educational programming and special events since 1995. The immersive one-week summer camp is for theater-loving kids (ages 10-17) offering enriching, hands-on experience in theater, song and dance. All skill levels are welcome, and no prior experience is required to enroll. Camp Broadway Miami enables kids with an interest in the arts to develop their confidence, character and presentation skills through ensemble performance. Campers will be immersed in an authentic Broadway rehearsal process that allows them to be successful regardless of experience level. Camp concludes with a finale perfor,ance featuring highlights from 42nd Street. Tuition includes 40 hours of instruction by trained Broadway professionals, master classes with visiting artists, backstage seminar with a production crew, official Camp Broadway T-shirts, a “cast of characters” headshot, healthy lunches and snacks, complimentary admission to the finale performance at the Knight Concert Hall.

Miami Children’s Museum Explorers Summer Camp

Take a blast through the past with Miami Children’s Museum’s Explorer Camp! Discover different countries, cultures, art, music and science! MCM Explorers will discover ancient civilizations and time periods. Throughout the summer explorers will participate in some of the oldest festivals and traditions, create artifacts and tools from prehistoric humans, design clothes from the renaissance period, build famous architectural structures, and prepare meals from different cultures. Each week campers will enjoy a theatrical performance by our in house theater troupe, participate in recreational games and activities complete science experiments, get wet and wild on our water slides, and attend field trips to local attractions. Weekly Camp Themes by week, beginning June 11, include: Stones and Bones (Prehistoric Humans); Meet and Feast (Early Civilizations); Greek Gods and Goddesses (Classical World); Knights and Vikes (Middle Ages); Michelangelo, Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello – The Renaissance; Entertain the Emperor; Native Neighbors; Pirates and Pioneers; Planes, Trains and Automobiles; Captain Patents; and To Infinity and Beyond. Art Camp at The Bass

The Bass Museum’s popular summertime art camp will be held this summer in the new Creativity Center at the Museum. Designed for children ages 5-12, Art Camp at The Bass is led by professional museum educators, teaching artists and certified M-DPS art teachers. Campers will make one-of-akind STEAM inspired projects and learn through fun, hands-on art activities in sculpture, painting, design and more. Sign up for one week or the whole summer! Tuition is $200 per week for Bass members at the family/dual level or above, and $250 for non-members. Pre-registration is required, and scholarships are available. Before and after care is available daily. Drop off can be as early as 8:30 a.m. with no additional charge, and pick up as late as 6 p.m. for an additional fee of $10 per day.

Childrens Summer Dance Program 2018
June 19 – July 28
Miami City Ballet Schools Childrens Summer Dance program allows boys and girls ages 3-8 to try dance for the first time or to continue their ballet studies during the summer months. Classes offered include Creative Movement (age 3), Pre-Ballet (age 4), Ballet Preparatory I (age 5), Ballet Preparatory II (age 6), Ballet Preparatory III (age 7-8). Two sessions are offered – a 3-week-long program running from June 19 to July 7 or July 10 to July 28; or the 6-week program from June 19 to July 28. This is a great way for your young dancer to experience the wonderful selection of dance classes that offered at MCB School before registering for classes in the Fall. No audition is required. To register, please fill out the registration packet on the website by June 4.
