Hosted by luncheon co-chairs Lourdes Martinez and Ana Trejos, as well as mentor-chair Sonia Gibson, the event featured a pre-show reception complete with pop-up shops and silent auctions, and was followed by a fantastic program honoring some of Miami’s top philanthropists, Monica Cantera-Serralta, Ravneet Rekhi Chowdhury, Eduardo Hernando, Danny Jelaca and Debbie Young; Ana and Cecil Milton, Miami Power Couple and long-time supporters of Big Brothers Big Sisters; and youth award recipient Raphaella Alexandre. Roxanne Vargas from WTVJ, NBC 6, and Gale Nelson, President and CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Miami, served as emcees while honorees received their awards and walked the runway. A lifetime achievement award was presented to longtime Miracle Society Member, Gladys Rustan-Hernando.
Internationally renowned fashion designer, artist, songwriter and singer, Nicolas Felizola celebrated his 30th anniversary with a red-carpet retrospective fashion presentation. The event supported Big Brothers Big Sisters of Miami and their award-winning mentorship programs for at-risk youth.
