His House Children’s Home (HHCH), with the help of sponsors, Azamara Cruises, Celebrity Cruises, Royal Caribbean International and Comcast, will host the 6th Annual Charity Gala. Emmy Award-winning newscaster and WPLG-TV Local 10 News Co-Anchor Calvin Hughes will be the master of ceremonies as over 400 guests gather to make a difference in the lives of South Florida’s at-risk children in crisis.

“Our 6th Annual Charity Gala is our most significant fundraising event of the year. This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with new friends and encourage community residents to become involved as we expand the resources and services in the agency,” says Development Director Iris Marrero.

As soon as the doors open, guests will have the opportunity to bid on luxurious items in the silent auction room. Items include cruises, autographed sports memorabilia, vacation home getaways, fine art, professional services, fine jewelry, high-end restaurant gift certificates, beauty products, gourmet baskets, and a car raffle for a 2009 Ford Escape Hybrid.

Tickets for the event are $200, and all proceeds will directly benefit the children at His House Children’s Home. For more information about sponsorship opportunities or the organization, please visit www.hhch.org or call 305-430-0085, Ext. 202.

About His House Children’s Home

Established in 1989, His House Children’s Home (HHCH) is a private, non-profit, faith-based organization that provides excellent residential services, case-management, an in-house counseling center, the His House Academy and weekly enrichment programs, in addition to foster care and adoption placement to the abused, abandoned and neglected children of South Florida from newborn to 18 years of age in crisis and offers support to their families. The agency is licensed by the Florida Department of Children and Families, contracted by Our Kids Inc. and Child-Net, Inc. in Broward as a residential program and child-placement agency. The organization is a frontline provider of residential services when an abused child comes into care. Most recently, His House has been recognized and accredited by the national Council on Accreditation (COA). Its model is unlike your typical shelter. Each home is staffed with loving house parents and supportive caregivers. Today HHCH provides a safe haven for over 60 children in shelter and over 325 in foster care. His House is a healing place giving wounded children a warm loving home and renewed hope for a brighter future. We are coloring away the darkness in little hearts all over South Florida.
