French Artist Alain Godon in Miami Beach
On Tuesday, December 9, a private cocktail reception was held at the exclusive restaurant La Piaggia Beach Club in South Beach where Executive South Florida Magazine, a leading business publication, presented the 2015 Miami Beach City Report to Mayor Philip Levine and other city officials.
Internationally renowned French artist Alain Godon was commissioned by the City of Miami Beach to design the report with his signature artwork depicting several Miami Beach locations and buildings. Godon is known for his free figuration drawing of caricature figures mixed with graffiti concepts and digital alterations through his very own BildoReliefo (meaning “three dimensional images”) technique that was introduced to the public in 2008. 
His artwork has been seen at some of the biggest private collections in France, he had a solo exhibition at the Museum of Le Touquet, where renowned artists such as Jean Dubuffet, Henri Moore and Bernard Buffet once exhibited. Godon has been invited to exhibit at the Matisse Museum in 2017 to showcase artwork inspired in Tahiti, a rare opportunity available to very few artists which testifies the position of Alain Godon as a world class artist.
Alain Godon’s work is represented by one of the leading fine art galleries in South Florida, Markowicz Fine Art located in the Miami Design District, which currently has a temporary home in Miami Beach until February 2015.
The evening affair featured city officials like Miami Beach City Manager Jimmy L. Morales along with representatives from City National Bank, one of the event sponsors. “We are honored to be able to host this event and gather such an important group of government and community leaders” said Ron Mann, President and Publisher of Executive South Florida Magazine.
Artist Alain Godon also donated an exclusive art piece to the Arts & Business Council of Miami, represented by its Vice Chair, Sebastien Laboreau.
