Limo to Lunch 2009
Limo to Lunch, a Driven to Dine event hosted by Florida Heart Research Institute, combined great food and fun socializing with luxurious limo rides and a bit of mystery. Guests began their day with a reception at Neiman Marcus Merrick Park. Groups of ten selected a number that corresponded to an awaiting limo that would whisk them off to an unforgettable lunch at one of South Florida’s top dining establishments. Passengers in the limos had no idea where they were going until they pulled up outside the restaurant. Upon arrival guests were greeted personally by the chef and staff and treated to a spectacular meal with accompanying wines. At the meal’s conclusion, guests were returned to Neiman’s where they picked up amazing goody bags. Co-chairs of the event were Marilyn Cale, Kelly Craig, Jennifer Boin Getz, and Michele Sadkin. Participating restaurants were: Abokado, Aqua at the Four Seasons, Au Pied De Cochon, Baleen, Bizcaya, Caffe Abbracci, Calamari Restaurant, Capital Grille Downtown, Essensia Restaurant and Lounge, Ortanique on the Mile, Panorama Restaurant and Lounge, 660 Mediterranean Kitchen, The Bankers Club, and Urbanite Bistro.
