Goldman Global Arts to Partner with Michelle Obama’s WHEN WE ALL VOTE
The voter participation effort will involve artist murals featured outside stadiums and arenas throughout the country.
Goldman Global Arts — the creative agency founded by Jessica Goldman Srebnick and Peter Tunney best known for the curation of Miami’s Wynwood Walls, the “Art Unexpected” art program at Hard Rock Stadium, and most recently the company behind Super Bowl LIV art integration — has partnered with When We All Vote, an organization founded by Michelle Obama and has celebrity ambassadors including Tom Hanks, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Janelle Monae, Chris Paul, Faith Hill and Tim McGraw aiming to increase voter participation. Goldman Global Arts commissioned artists to create digital murals aiming to inspire people to vote. The murals, with a focus on civic engagement and voting including Election Day, Vote-By-Mail, Registration, and American History of Voting, were launched in early October and are adorning country’s largest and most visible arenas and stadiums.
“Art has the power to unite, it has the power to amplify messages of hope and encourage dialogue,” said Goldman Srebnick, whose company is also . “Art has the power to create change. We are proud to work with When We All Vote to bring together 13 American artists to amplify the importance of every vote and broadcast that message on billboards across the country while also sharing these original works in a vibrant social media campaign. It is a project I am exceedingly proud of. No matter your party, we must do our part to protect democracy, we must all VOTE.”
Locations include Miami Heat American Airlines Arena, Chicago Bulls and Chicago Blackhawks United Center, Portland Trail Blazers Moda Center, Sacramento Kings Golden 1 Center, Los Angeles Football Club Banc of California Stadium, Milwaukee Bucks Fiserv Forum, Washington Wizards Capital One Arena, Washington Nationals Nationals Park, Cleveland Cavaliers Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse, San Francisco Giants Oracle Park, Oakland A’s Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum, and Times Square in New York City.
The selected artists are Aiyah Sidqel, Beau Stanton, Buff Monster, David Flores, Greg Mike, Hueman, Kayla Mahaffey, Kai, Mojo, Peter Tunney, Reggie “RAL86” Le Flore, Shepard Fairey, and Queen Andrea.
