Arts patron Myra Wexler has been a part of the Miami scene since her days at Coral Park Senior High. Today, Wexler has made a name for herself as one of the Miami art scene’s more unique personalities.
Affectionately named “yo MOMMA”, Wexler frequents many arts events for both the visual and performing arts, ready to cheer on the artists, directors and curators who are making it happen.
We caught up with yo MOMMA in Oliver Sanchez’s workshop behind his exhibition space, Swamp Space. The conversation revealed many interesting aspects to Wexler’s frenetic and energetic personality. We also learned about the past exhibition devoted specifically to her and view several of the pieces from the show.
