Presentation And Signing By Joseph A. Califano, Jr
Former Florida Governor Jeb Bush and Informed Families hosted an evening with former Secretary of Health, Education & Welfare Joseph A. Califano, Jr. Over 300 guests were in attendance to hear Califano speak about his new book How to Raise a Drug-Free Kid: The Straight Dope for Parents. It was Califano who started the nation’s first anti-smoking campaign, and he shared his nearly 20 years worth of insight and research on what really prevents children from using drugs and alcohol. The evening was sponsored by Baptist Health South Florida, South Miami Addiction Treatment Center, and AvMed Health Plans. Pictured: Jeb Bush, Joseph A.
