Connect Florida
More than 60 young professionals and transit aficionados filled the Brickell Room at The Capital Grille for Connect Florida’s second annual educational panel session on transportation. The panel included Miami-Dade County Commissioner Carlos Gimenez, Miami-Dade County Transit Director Harpal Kapoor, Miami-Dade Expressway Authority Director Javier Rodriguez, Florida Department of Transportation’s Alice Bravo and moderator Tony Garcia, editor of transitmiami.com. Attendees questioned the panelists regarding the lack of convenient mass transit options within the county and state, while the panelists spoke about industry projects that will meet the goals of balancing our transportation network and improving the livelihood and well being of our community.
