City Year And The Marlins Team Up For Charity
At the City Year Miami corporate breakfast Marlins President David Samson announced that The Marlins and City Year would a team Sponsors for the Young Heroes program at Allapattah Middle School. The program is a Saturday leadership development and community service initiative for middle school students where student participants learn about the social issues in their community and work together to create solutions for those problems. The Marlins visited classrooms with Billy the Marlin, which brought many smiles to the children’s faces, and they concluded the day by donating 200 tickets to a game.
