Roots In The City Farmers Market Opening
The Roots in the City Farmer Market in Overtown opened with a ribbon cutting ceremony commemorating the arrival of Florida’s first urban farmers market. Guests celebrated Miami’s first wholly local farmer-operated market with VIP’s and dignitaries including Miami Mayor Tomas Regalado, Commissioner Richard Dunn, Roots in the City founder Dr. Marvin Dunn, Wholesome Wave Foundation CEO Michel Nischan, Michael Schwartz of Michael’s Genuine Food and Drink and Daniella Levine of the Human Services Coalition.
