For the past week, Stylist Elysze Held spent some of the hottest days of the year up and down the East Coast, beginning in Manhattan, darting around the inaugural New York Fashion Week Men’s, and capturing the looks backstage and from the front row, always searching for the best pieces for her choice clients. New York Fashion Week Men’s proved itself to be a celebration of creativity, and brought classics, vintage and military looks, plus rock & roll on the runway.

Next, she headed south to catch the last few days of Miami Swim Week–The Miami Swim crowd were dressed ultra summery but still sharp and on the runway the Faves of the week nailed it! The bright and uncompromisingly chic one piece wonders at Clover Canyon, the action packed road show by Maaji Swimwear, and the stand-out of the shows, the Mara Hoffman R/S presentation which was held at Casa Casuarina, also known as the iconic Versace Mansion.

For more than 20 years, Brazilian-born Miami-made artist Romero Britto has fostered a message of happiness and hope with his energetic signature pop style. His artwork is colorful, playful and, as described by The New York Times, “exudes warmth, optimism and love.” Join Britto at Coral Springs Museum of Art for a celebration in the tradition of his home country, “Blame it on Rio” on August 20, 2015.

Back to School 2015

First day of school 2015 – August 24! Having basic supplies needed to achieve helps keep kids focused on learning at school. Now is the time you can make a difference in a youngster’s future and help at-risk youth get the school supplies they need to succeed in the new school year.

Local non-profits – Chapman Partnership, Camillus House, Miami Bridge Youth & Family Services, Ayuda Miami, Family Resource Center and Overtown Youth Center – need your help as they collect back to school supplies for underprivileged students. Support their efforts!
