Designer Statement: “The Reception lobby is the first area everyone sees, so I selected a theme that would represent all of the movies represented at DesignHouse. My inspiration was the extravaganza of the Oscars. At the Oscars you see the most prominent fashion and jewelry designers showcase their latest styles, and of course lots of glitz and glamour.”
Bio: Alex Matamoros, ASID, graduated Suma Cum Laude, with a degree in Interior Design, from the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. His career has led him to design homes in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and the Caribbean. His work has been showcased in the Ft. Myers Parade of Homes as well as the Port St. Lucie Parade of Homes. Alex has won numerous awards from the Building Association of South Florida and the Gold Coast Builder Association of West Palm Beach. Previously, he was a Senior Designer for the Interiors Group in Boca Raton Florida. Currently, Alex is the Director of Design Services for DCOTA.
