Amanda Lindroth
Designer Statement: “Think: Hemingway in Cuba.”
Bio: Amanda Lindroth was born in Florida in 1963 when South Florida was still sleeping. Her earliest memories include the beautiful nature of Florida combined with the glamour of 1960’s and 1970’s Palm Beach. She was educated at Wellesley in Boston. After graduation she spent a couple of years in Paris and traveled throughout Europe, which she found very inspirational.
Amanda worked at Women’s Wear Daily and ‘W’ magazines covering parties and society. Following this Amanda moved to London and worked as the Public Relations Director for Gucci in the UK during the renaissance of the brand.
After moving to Nassau Amanda started doing interiors for her and her friends. She is heavily influence by the islands and island life. Her interiors are comfortable and breezy and she is strongly influenced by bold architecture and proportion.
