The American Red Cross Greater Miami & The Keys celebrated its 28th Annual Ball at the Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne with more than 400 prominent and influential community leaders and philanthropists in attendance for a night of entertainment, exquisite food, elegant décor and dancing.

The Red Cross Ball commemorated its 28th year of fundraising with the help of an exceptional committee of volunteers that raised more than $540,000 in support of the local disaster response programs and other life saving programs offered by the American Red Cross in Miami-Dade and Monroe counties.

Since 1982, the Red Cross ball has been established as one of Miami’s most prestigious social fundraising events and was chaired this year by Miami philanthropists Trish and Dan Bell. WPLG Ch. 10 anchor Laurie Jennings served as Mistress of Ceremonies of the evening. The spectacular centerpieces designed by Petal Productions included roses donated by USA Bouquet.

Will Earl Spanheimer and Kelly Griffin, young artists in residence, delivered beautiful performances and were followed by The Steve Chase Band, which kept guests dancing with an eclectic playlist of hits from the past 40 years.

Guests enjoyed cocktails throughout the evening in the Bacardi Lounge and participated in a silent auction featuring cruises from Azamara Cruises, Yachts of Seabourn and Holland America, as well as other fabulous items.
