BIG BROTHERS BIG SISTERS MIAMI CELEBRATES RECORD BREAKING “DREAM” GALA!

On Saturday, February 28, a spectacular, fun filled celebration continued into the early morning hours featuring gourmet dining, fabulous music and a surprise Flash Mob dance performance showcasing dozens of “Little Brothers and Sisters” with their “Big” mentors, culminating in a 5 minute standing ovation!

Over 800 of Miami’s finest opened up their hearts and purse string to make dreams come true for thousands of Miami’s children. “I am thrilled that our “Dream Gala Team” broke all fund raising records, raising $1.7 million for Big Brothers and Big Sisters one-to-one mentoring programs!” said Gala Chair Victoria Cummock.

This unprecedented outpouring of community support included $75,000 gifts from Trish and Dan Bell and the Batchelor Foundation to sponsor 50 matches, each; A surprise gift of $500,000 for the new BBBS building from Matt Gorson and the Gorson Family. Guests also celebrated a dream making $5 million gift for a permanent home of BBBS by Gala Presenting partners Carnival Foundation and Carnival Corporation.
