Chapman Partnership Celebrates 20 Years of Empowering the Homeless

Chapman Partnership’s 20th Anniversary Gala officially kicks-off the 2015 Social Season by paying tribute to Alvah Chapman’s vision that became a mission. Today it is known as Chapman Partnership, a nationally recognized homeless assistance center.

The Gala on October 17, will offer an elegant evening of dining , dancing and entertainment to commemorate an impressive milestone: 20 years of empowering Miami´s homeless. “This special evening, themed “Stars,” is a grand way to honor the many generous donors and volunteers who have supported our mission over the decades,” said Trish Bell, Chairman Emeritus of Chapman Partnership. “As an organization dedicated to providing long term solutions to men, women and children who are homeless, we want to show our appreciation for the individuals, corporations, philanthropists and civic and community leaders who, through their unselfish actions over the years, have helped turn our mission of empowering the homeless to lead self-sufficient lives into a reality.”

Alvah Chapman’s legacy lives on through the Alvah H. Chapman, Jr. Humanitarian Award. This award is given to an individual or organization that has been instrumental in leading the way in helping the homeless in our community. The 2015 Alvah H. Chapman, Jr. Humanitarian Award will be presented to Mrs. Betty Chapman during Chapman Partnership’s 20th Anniversary Gala.

The 2015 Gala will be held Saturday, October 17, 2015, at the JW Marriott Marquis in Downtown Miami. Cocktails will begin at 7 p.m., followed by dinner at 8. Event chairs for the gala are Nancy and Jon Batchelor and Trish and Dan Bell.

A Toast to the Next 20, the official gala after-party hosted by nextgen, will kick off with a cocktail reception at 9 p.m. and the party getting underway at 10:30.

After-party tickets are $100 per person and include musical entertainment by Fly Guy, open bar by Bacardi, lite bites, valet parking and a membership to nextgen, a group of young professionals and community ambassadors, between the ages of 25-40, who support Chapman Partnership. 1920’s style cocktail attire is requested.
