Connect With Nature
The Nature Conservancy, Patricia and Phillip Frost Museum of Science and its Museum Volunteers for the Environment (MUVE) and Historic Virginia Key Beach Park combined forces Saturday, April 11 to get the community to Connect With Nature and experience first-hand the power of communities working together to restore coastal habitat in South Florida. In honor of Earth Day, volunteers got their hands dirty by helping to remove invasive species, plant native mangroves and collect real-time data to help scientists learn more about Virginia Key.
