Emeril Lagasse Hosts Benefit
Emeril Lagasse celebrated the fifth anniversary of Emeril’s Miami Beach by cooking up a special event to benefit Miami Children’s Hospital Foundation. Raising more than $100,000, the guests had a spectacular evening with delectable cuisine – of course – and performances by New Orleans jazz vocalist and trumpeter Jeremy Davenport and 8-year-old piano prodigy Ethan Bortnick, who surprised Lagasse with an original song, “Bam Kick it Up a Notch!” Another surprise for Lagasse was the gift of a portrait of the chef by renowned artist Romero Britto.
