ELLE Magazine's Creative Director Talks to SocialMiami
Valentino at Bal Harbour Shops hosted a shopping and charity event with ELLE magazine creative director Joe Zee. As part of the shop’s A-Zee month in conjunction with ELLE, Zee is the namesake of the magazine’s movement to stimulate local retail economies. Hosts Andria Ares Holtz, Paola Pacheco and Esther Porto invited guests to the upscale retailer for cocktails and personal styling by the talented and charitable Joe Zee.
SocialMiami’s Amanda Del Duca sat down with Joe Zee to talk ELLE, Miami style, Victoria Beckham and a little bit of charity.
Q&A with Entertainer Johnny Rodgers
Pawpurrazzi 2010 benefits the Humane Society of Greater Miami-Adopt-A-Pet and will be held at Jungle Island on January 22. Although the exciting pre-party will be held at the fabulous estate of Bunny Bastian to promote the event and honor the special people who make it happen.
Performing at the fab pre-event dinner will be Broadway entertainer and Miami native Johnny Rodgers. In addition to accompanying Liza Minnelli on piano for her world tours, Rodgers is known for creating bubbly and romantic pop ballads, tailor-laced melodies and sultry jazz all stirred with piano driven rock.
SocialMiami spoke to the Miami-bred talent about his love of animals, pet fashion, as well as his favorite spots in Miami-Dade.
Cafe con Leche
Miriam Fernandes Gallery, a new open space located in Miami’s Design District, launches with “Cuba Con Leche” by Rick Garcia on November 14.
A Miami native with “Cuban blood,” Garcia developed his unique Pop style in acrylic on canvas by incorporating Cuban and American pop cultural icons with bright colors, extraordinary details from every day life, and a key Cuban map within each work. He’s most known for being the Absolut artist of the 90’s, and as a three time official Artist of the Grammy Awards.
SocialMiami had the opportunity to ask Garcia some questions about a variety of subjects including Cuba, his inspirations and, of course, Cuba Con Leche.
