DCOTA hosted a VIP reception for Harry Benson’s largest retrospective exhibition entitled, “Through His Lens: Harry Benson’s Portraits of Our World.” Benson, a Scottish born photojournalist, arrived in America with the Beatles in 1964 and never looked back. Harry has photographed every U.S. president from Eisenhower to George W. Bush (10 total); was just feet away from Bobby Kennedy the night he was assassinated; was in the room with Richard Nixon when he resigned; went on the Meredith march with Martin Luther King, Jr., and was the only photographer invited into the filming of “We Are the World.”
