The 2014 Galaxy Gala Committee hosted a VIP kick-off event and auction for the upcoming 12th Annual Patricia and Phillip Frost Museum of Science Galaxy Gala. The festivities took place at the home of host, Irene Korge. Among attendees were Museum CEO & President Gillian Thomas, 2014 Gala Co-Chair and Honorary Chair Nancy Batchelor, Gala Co-Chairs Nicole & Edgar Lozano, Philanthropic Chairs Trish & Dan Bell, and Host Chair Alicia Cervera Lamadrid.
On Saturday, March 15th hundreds of guests will gather at the JW Mariott Marquis to celebrate the 12th annual Patricia and Phillip Frost Museum of Science’s Galaxy Gala and Big Bang. The gala will support the new facility currently under construction at Museum Park in Downtown Miami. The 250,000 square-foot facility will be among the world’s most innovative and sustainable science museums, harvesting water and harnessing energy from sun, wind and even Museum visitors to power exhibits. The Museum will include a state-of-the-art planetarium, and Living Core Aquarium, with a series of tanks, indoor and outdoor habitats as well as a 500,000-gallon Gulf Stream tank.
