Inanna and the Huluppu Tree
A glorious evening celebration of The PlayGround Theatre’s newest production, INANNA AND THE HULUPPU TREE premiered with a full house of applauding children, parents, and distinguished guests who clearly welcomed the inventive creativity provided by Artistic Director Stephanie Ansin who directed the compelling comedy-drama co-written with Fernando Calzadilla. Presented at The PlayGround Theater’s Miami Shores home, among the first nighters who cheered the magical production were Miami Shores Mayor Herta Holly, Ansin family members Edmund, James, Toby Lerner Ansin, and Tatsiana Yarashevich; Advisory Board members Charles Cinnamon, Robin Reiter, and Nora Weinreich; Board Member May Newman; Marvin Ross Freidman and Adrienne Bon Haes; Holly Kingsbury; Shelley Spivack and David Black. Representing community groups that benefit from free tickets to PlayGround performances were Claudia Cunningham and Barbara Biggart of The Parent Academy of Miami-Dade Public Schools.
