Marlins Upscale Club is a Game Changer
Derek Jeter, in leading the Miami Marlins, has carved out a slice of the stadium and created for fans a first-class lounge that’s luxe enough to impress and close enough to the field to offer the excitement of sports.
“We want our fans to have fun,” Jeter told us. “It’s impossible to win every single game but you’ll always remember your experience here.”
The experience in The Club Presented by DEX Imaging involves a modern lounge with luxe leather finishes and some delicious benefits. In addition to providing place to socialize, these seats come with an unlimited and all-inclusive array of food and beverage options.
Chef Michael Finizia is in charge and he’s serving up fresh and hot fare, some of which departs from traditional stadium snacks.Think: tuna crudo with grapefruit and shaved fennel, yakitori chicken with wasabi rice cakes and a baby salad with burrata and royal trumpets. Even standard baseball faves are elevated, such as a revved-up mac and cheese made with idiazabal cheese sauce, campenelle pasta, Iberico sausage, escarole and blistered tomatoes. The wings are brined and roasted, served with aji crema, aji verde and micro cilantro. And the sliders, which combine beef and lamb, are served on a brioche with cucumbers and aioli.
The bar is pouring beer and wine as well as mixing up creative craft cocktails. Also included in these ticket packages, try the Lemon Chill, with bourbon, basil, ginger beer and lemon olco saccharum or the Ice Cold Ice Tea, with lemon vodka, orange liquor, and organic honey, or the Cracker Jack Colada with spiced rum and butterscotch.
The club will also offer a DJ as well as a private retail shop called “Curated.” Access is only for club members, who can purchase limited edition items and accessories with exclusive logos that can’t be found anywhere else.
“It’s exactly that, a curated experience,” says Marlins president of business operations, Chip Bowers. “It’s close to the players’ club house, behind home plate, and offers the game from a unique point of view. Anyone can take a client to a dinner. But this is a world class experience.”
“Anyone can take a client to dinner,” says Bowers. “But this is a world class experience. “As long as we’re in Miami, we want to capture the diversity and the energy.”
