Miami Children’s Health Foundation Celebrates 10th Anniversary Diamond Ball
$1.6 million raised for children and families at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital
Miami Children’s Health Foundation (MCH Foundation) celebrated its 10th Anniversary Diamond Ball in a dazzling ceremony where the theme “Into the Woods” was brought to life with towering tree centerpieces, haunting entertainment, and the fabulously dressed guests who wore their best black-tie costume attire. The event raised nearly $1.6 million, benefiting the children and families at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital.
This year, world-renowned guitarist, singer, and composer José Feliciano was inducted into the Ambassador David M. Walters International Pediatric Hall of Fame for his commitment to helping children through the Jose M. and Susan L. Feliciano Charitable Foundation for Children and the Arts and for his achievements in the world of music as the first Latin artist to cross over into the English music market.
“It was a wonderful experience to be a part of the 10th Anniversary Diamond Ball and be inducted into the Ambassador David Walters Pediatric Hall of Fame alongside so many notable people who also believe in providing our children the best healthcare possible,” said Feliciano, nine-time Grammy Award-winning artist. After receiving his award, Feliciano entertained the crowd with a live performance.
Other notable guests included Master of Ceremonies for the evening and co-host of “The Insider” on CBS Louis Aguirre, Shane Battier, Ismael Cala, Ximena Duque, Ana Maria Canseco, Mariela Encarnacion, Mayor Tomas Regalado, Ana Quincoces, Lieter Ledesma and Erick Cuesta, among others.
In honor of such a momentous occasion, longtime supporters of the foundation and previous event chairs came together to co-chair the 10th Anniversary Diamond Ball, including Eilah and Ben Beavers, Ravneet and Anand Chowdhury, Heide and Jose Dans, Ana and Tony Figueroa Cisneros, Marile and Jorge Luis Lopez, Vivian and Juan Carlos Mas, and Andria and Andres Miyares.
The event was made possible thanks to the support from generous sponsors, such as Breakthru Beverage, Codina Partners, JW Marriott Marquis Miami, City National Bank, Duty Free Americas, Inc., AB&A Advertising, Mario Murgado Presented by Brickell Motors, Robins & Morton, Stearns Weaver Miller, West Coast University, CC Homes, Cristina and David Martin, Mercedes-Benz of Coral Gables, Greenberg Traurig, Polen Capital, Stericycle and CNN Alla Vamos, Ocean Drive Magazine and Selecta Magazine.
