Miami City Ballet’s ‘Open Barre’ After Party
Miami City Ballet members got a sneak peek of the newly reimagined Nutcracker, as Artistic Director Lourdes Lopez went behind the scenes with artistic power couple Isabel & Ruben Toledo, designers of the costumes and scenery for the holiday classic. Guests saw some of the new designs, heard the inspiration behind the creation from the Toledos and enjoyed excerpts from George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker. After the performance, members gathered at Bâoli Miami, where they enjoyed appetizers and Dancing Mermaids Rosé and mingled with Miami City Ballet dancers.
