Miccosukee Tribe Celebrates American Indian Day

On September 29 from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., join the Miccosukee Tribe of Indians of Florida for the Miccosukee Tribe Celebrates American Indian Day Event. At this festive occasion, experience the rich heritage, timeless traditions and distinctive lifestyle of the Native American Tribes with an emphasis on the Miccosukee Tribe of Indians of Florida.

This can’t miss event takes place at Miccosukee Resort & Gaming where you’ll enjoy many entertainment and cultural activities including world-famous alligator demonstrations, thrilling airboat and kids’ rides, the colorful patchwork designs featured in a Miccosukee Fashion Show and Native American musical and dance performances. Shop for unique arts & crafts including authentic Miccosukee patchwork, beautiful beadwork jewelry and accessories, woodworking designs and attractive, intricately woven baskets. Enjoy it all while indulging in delicious food like Indian Fry bread, Indian burgers and Indian tacos.

Admission is free for everyone! Located at 500 S.W. 177th Avenue in Miami, Miccosukee Resort & Gaming is offering special room packages and a delectable buffet where all kids under 5 eat free. On the same day, a special American Indian Day Holiday Cash Giveaway will also be held. Fifteen lucky players will pocket $1,000 each plus a 1-night hotel stay. Drawings will be held every hour on the hour from 10 a.m. to 12 a.m.
