Chef Johnson from The Lan Pan-Asian Café in South Miami
New World School of the Arts welcomed “The Year of the Ox” with a spectacularly fun and innovative affair, filled with warm wishes of good fortune, health and prosperity. Held in Coconut Grove at different homes within walking distance of each other, the fete carried the same exciting theme… a Celebration of the Chinese New Year. Complete with a Pan-Asian menu provided by Chef Johnson Teh, from Lan Pan-Asian Cafe in South Miami, the bountiful carte du jour was beautifully arranged in traditional Chinese settings and consisted of delicacies carefully chosen to bring prosperity, long life and auspiciousness to all invited guests. The celebration continued just a short walk from each of the homes, at Ransom Everglades’ Swenson Auditorium, where a dessert and tea reception once more welcomed guests, followed by a “Year of the Ox” showcase presentation.
