Association for Fundraising Professionals hosted its annual National Philanthropy Day at Jungle Island and SocialMiami was a media sponsor, honoring Judge Bronwyn Miller with the Spirit of Philanthropy Award. Other winners included Alicia Celorio for Outstanding Philanthropist Award, Steven Scheck for the James W. McLamore Outstanding Volunteer Award, Amazon for the Julia Tuttle Award for Community Involvement and Corporate Citizenship, Lynn and Louis Wolfson II Family Foundation for the Outstanding Grant Maker Award, Flavia Llizo for Outstanding Fundraising Professional Award and Lesianne Tupas for Outstanding Youth in Philanthropy Award. Other Spirit of Philanthropy Awards went to The Kirk Foundation, David M. Seifer, E11EVEN, Camila & Taty Guiribitey, Father Rafael Capo, Lynn Bauer, Archangel Education and Technology, Sidley Austin LLP, Ken O’Keefe, Dan Marino Foundation, Supreme Twins Foundation and The Board of Directors of The Education Fund.

In 2018, Manny was honored as one of the 12 Good Men by the Ronald McDonald House Charities and co-produced along with Broadway producer Richard Jay-Alexander, an exhibit in honor of famed press agent Charlie Cinnamon at the FIU Jewish Museum.
Manny recently authored his first book, CANDIDS Miami (Wynwood Books).
