Uruguayan sculptor Pablo Atchugarry was celebrated by The Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) and renowned art collector and PAMM benefactor Jorge M. Pérez during a private reception at the museum. The event commemorated the unveiling of Atchugarry’s sculpture, Endless Evolution (2015), and comes on the heels of over 100 new additions to the PAMM permanent collection. Over 100 guests gathered on the museum’s East Portico, overlooking the sculpture and Biscayne Bay, as PAMM Director Franklin Sirmans spoke about the outdoor installation as one of the museum’s galleries important works. The Atchugarry sculpture, donated by Pérez, was installed in the Mary M. and Sash A. Spencer Sculpture Garden and joins installations by Mark di Suvero, Edgar Negret, Jedd Novatt, Anthony Caro, Ernesto Neto and Gonzálo Fonseca. The museum’s newest additions bring its total holdings to nearly 2,000 works of art.
