South Miami Avenue location closes its doors on August 30

In celebration of Patricia and Phillip Frost Museum of Science’s legacy and exciting future, the museum will host a variety of special events and programming to thank museum members and patrons, and increase awareness and enthusiasm for the new Frost Science Museum.The museum, which opened in 1960 on three acres of the historic Vizcaya complex, has served as a destination over several generations. It has evolved through the years, becoming a place where South Floridians have discovered a love for science and technology and where memories have been created.

MIAMI BEACH: 100 Years of Making Waves

The documentary entitled “MIAMI BEACH: 100 Years of Making Waves” was premiered at the Miami Design Preservation League on Miami Beach. Over 100 guests attended the special event celebrating the film that will be aired on WPBT-TV on Monday, August 3, at 9 p.m. Produced and directed by Emmy winner Robyn Symon and hosted by author and adventurer, Charles J. Kropke, the documentary traces the colorful history of Miami Beach back as far as the mid-1800s.
