Power of the Purse 2025 was an extraordinary experience!

The luncheon networking event, program and fundraiser was a true celebration of community, advocacy, and innovation. Stellar Women’s Fund Pillar Co-Chairs: Dr. Paula Hopkins, Gloria Barbier, Emily Caillon, and Arathi Ramappa’s support made this success possible, in partnership with an active and engaged Host Committee, and Board.

Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, donors, elected officials, community leaders, and supporters, we surpassed our fundraising and networking goals, ensuring that our mission to uplift and empower women and girls in Miami-Dade will continue to thrive in 2025!

A special thank you to our Silent Auction Co-Chairs, Norma Jean Abraham and Shirlee Fernandez, for their tireless efforts in curating an incredible selection of extraordinary items. Serious shopping for a Serious cause. The entire Host Committee and these Co-Chairs also had a great time working together towards this success. Their passion and commitment brought Power of the Purse 2025 to life.

Power of the Purse was filled with unforgettable moments, starting with a stunning performance by the talented cast of Actors’ Playhouse’s & Sara Bareilles’ “Waitress”, setting the tone for an inspiring afternoon. We were deeply moved by Lindsey Corey, who brought the stories of survivors to light in a way that spread awareness without requiring them to relive their trauma.

A heartfelt thank you to all of our incredible speakers, including Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava and Miami State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle, for their voices, their unwavering support, and leadership.
